School of Letters Summer Reading Series
Join the School of Letters on Wednesday, June 11, at 4:30 p.m., in Naylor Auditorium for the first event in their Summer Reading Series. Hear from faculty members Rebecca Gayle Howell and Jamie Quatro as they read their work and answer questions.
Rebecca Gayle Howell’s publications include two novels-in-verse, translations, and an anthology. Her novels-in-verse, “Render / An Apocalypse” and “American Purgatory,” were both named Bestsellers of the Decade by Small Press Distribution. She is a recipient of the Pushcart Prize.
Jamie Quatro is the author of two novels and a book of short stories. Quatro’s latest work, “Two-Step Devil,” won the 2024 Willie Morris Award for Southern Writing. The novel was named a New York Times Editor’s choice and a Best Book of 2024 by the Paris Review and the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
