Forest Preschool in Monteagle & Pavilion-Building Day
Cumberland Forest School is enrolling Preschool students for the 2023 Spring Semester now until January 11th. Need-based scholarship is available. Directed by forest school educator Abigail Moore, Forest Preschool is an outdoor-based education experience, similar to successful programs at Wauhatchie School in Chattanooga. We spend our days exploring the trails and forest around the South Cumberland State Park Visitor’s Center, learn about local flora and fauna, develop our social and emotional skills with games or imaginative play, and practice mindfulness. CFS will host Pavilion-Building Day as we construct our outdoor classroom with the help of the local community on January 8th.
- Children ages 3-6 who are resident in Franklin, Grundy, and Marion counties are eligible for enrollment (must be potty-trained).
- Our outdoor classroom pavilion & exploration space is located at the South Cumberland State Park Visitor’s Center in Monteagle. Come help us build the pavilion & learn more about Cumberland Forest School on Sunday, January 8th from 10:00am - 3:30pm.
- Preschool runs January 23rd–May 19th, Monday–Friday, 8:00am—1:00pm daily. Alternate scheduling options are available.
- Our Enrollment Form and tuition information can be found on our website (www.cumberlandforestschool.org).
